One game, every sound

Rune (working title) is a single-player, party-based RPG. We're not saying much about the game publicly yet, but the audio brief is clear enough to share:

The music is orchestral and classical at heart: sweeping strings, piano, and choir, cinematic and emotional, with room for something more modern where it fits. Around it sits everything else — impacts that land, ambience that gives a place its mood, and the small sounds that make a menu feel good. Medieval fantasy in tone, moody and epic, and coherent from the quietest moment to the biggest.

What you'd make

Start focused, grow from there

Rather than lock scope into a job post, we'd start with a few key tracks and the core combat and UI sounds. If that goes well, the rest of the soundtrack and effects library is on the table.

We're aiming to start in [Q3 2026]; initial engagement is a few months, with more if it's a good fit both ways.

How we'll work together

We care about how the game sounds, so the audio here is directed rather than open-ended. We'll share references and a sense of the mood we're after, then stay close as it comes together so music and effects hold together as one voice. Expect references, a mood target, and honest notes — usually a round or two per piece. We agree up front what counts as a revision, so your time is respected and nobody's surprised.

Directed doesn't mean silent, though. If you think a cue should go somewhere else, say so — that's part of why we'd hire you.

Standard work-for-hire, with credit and the right to use the work in your reel once the game is announced.

What we're looking for

Nice to have — pluses, not dealbreakers

Let's hear it
